Equipment classification
Governed equipment evidence and ISO 20816-3 classification inputs.
This page displays reference vibration standards and the configured benchmark record for the selected equipment. Where no benchmark has been configured the artefact remains visible and the value is shown as no configured data.
Equipment classification and ISO evidence
Select commissioned equipment and preserve the exact rating and engineering evidence. Approval is Admin-only and immediately governs every downstream consumer. A pump assembly may use its linked driver rating, which is labelled as driver power rather than pump hydraulic power.
Open engineering evidence actions
Actions are assigned to Tino and copied to the Administrator. Supplying all engineering evidence advances an action to evidence submitted; only Administrator approval completes it.

Historical threshold profile reference
These values preserve the previous interface for engineering comparison. They are not classification evidence and do not approve ISO or Feature Store eligibility. Record the actual machine class, rated power, foundation type and source evidence in Equipment classification above; an Administrator must approve that governed record.
| Group | Description | Zone A (good) | Zone B (acceptable) | Zone C (alert) | Zone D (danger) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Group 1 | Large machines, rigid foundation | 0 to 2.3 | 2.3 to 4.5 | 4.5 to 7.1 | > 7.1 |
| Group 2 | Large machines, flexible foundation | 0 to 3.5 | 3.5 to 7.1 | 7.1 to 11.0 | > 11.0 |
| Group 3 | Medium machines | 0 to 1.4 | 1.4 to 2.8 | 2.8 to 4.5 | > 4.5 |
| Group 4 | Small machines | 0 to 0.7 | 0.7 to 1.8 | 1.8 to 4.5 | > 4.5 |
Historical profile labels can help locate the prior setting, but the profile name and threshold values do not prove the installed foundation. Conflicting or incomplete evidence remains under assessment and is raised to Administration rather than being normalised silently.
Additional ISO standards
| Standard | Description | Zone A (good) | Zone B (acceptable) | Zone C (alert) | Zone D (danger) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| ISO 10816-3 | Industrial machines (15 to 75 kW, 120 to 15000 rpm) | 0 to 2.3 | 2.3 to 4.5 | 4.5 to 7.1 | > 7.1 |
| ISO 7919 | Shaft vibration standards for rotating equipment | 0 to 1.6 | 1.6 to 3.2 | 3.2 to 5.0 | > 5.0 |
| ISO 13373-1 | Predictive maintenance and diagnostics (vibration) | 0 to 2.0 | 2.0 to 4.5 | 4.5 to 7.0 | > 7.0 |

Monitoring notes
Zone classification guidance:
- Zone A: Good condition. No action required.
- Zone B: Acceptable. Monitor trending. Plan maintenance within 1 to 2 months.
- Zone C: Alert threshold. Increase monitoring frequency. Schedule maintenance within 2 to 4 weeks.
- Zone D: Danger threshold. Immediate attention required. Take corrective action or reduce operating speed and load.
Benchmark readings are shown only when configured benchmark records exist. Trend Analysis and historical comparisons remain available in the diagnostic graphs section once persisted diagnostic data is present.
